Zero mapname. hex=0 map=0 Anything one can do to solve this? Or what does it mean?

Version 1812 was commited by marko on 2011-02-01 20:45:40 +0000 (Tue, 01 Feb 2011) Map amenity=shelter to 0x2b06 and add tourism=wilderness_hut. Mapping amenity=shelter to 0x6402 (or 0x6412) is a bad idea in urban areas, because then the point would display from much further distance than most points of interest, such as shops and restaurants.

I have updated my tests with index_branch r1810 and these are the results: 1 tile map 2 tiles map 9 tiles map *POI search* Yes Yes Yes *Cities* Accented characters Yes Yes Yes Existing city Yes Yes Yes (1) Existing region Yes Yes Yes Existing country Yes Yes Yes Combinations of city, region, country Yes Yes Yes *Streets* Existing street+city Yes Yes Yes (2) Non existing street+city Yes Yes Yes (2) Only street Yes Yes Yes (2) *Send to device * Yes Yes Yes (1) All places within a given tile are assigned the same (wrong) country, e.g: <node> is_in=Soria, Castilla y León, Spain, Europe name=Abion place=village </node> Search city Abion -> Abion, CASTILLA Y LEÓN, BASQUE COUNTRY (2) Missing all streets beginning by "Calle" before "Calle Real ..." Occurrences of "Calle ": 1 tile: 4694 2 tiles: 4694+15206=19900 Previous round of tests 2 tiles map had the same problem with number of "Calle "=47770 Apart from search related issues, in the 9-tiles map routing is broken and also all tiles touching the sea are flooded. I have tried different combinations of options, but always the same result.

Wondering about mkgmap usage.

Hi, I'm using mkgmap since a while and it works great. Good work and thanks to all of the developer. I know how many time you are investing into it and how many time such a OS project needs to care about. So my question is. I already have seen that some of the map compilers are calling the mkgmap with the typ file at the end. For example: java .. -jar mkgmap.jar [option] typfile.typ I also tried it and I found no advantage or difference to a call without the typ file? What is the reason for this? I also didn't find any doc for this. Thanks, Marco
