missing coastline polygon lately

But this is a very interesting case because, previous builds have sea polygons even when there are coastline errors. But one tile can't be selected and is missing, when exporting the map in file 'gmapsupp.img' or sending the map to the GPS. In this case tile 30000082 is missing. I tried other OSM German maps with similar result. The originator of QLandkarte GT, who I have contacted, guess the cause in mkgmap. Address search partially working on nüvi

It has be reported several times in the list that address search doesn't work on nuvi 300 (spell country problem). I have recently built a map that includes Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and part of France, Italy and Germany. For my surprise, some countries are found by nuvi and I can go ahead with the address search. This is the list of countries that can be searched: Type S, finds Schweiz, Suisse, Suiza, Svizzera Type F finds France, Francia Type I finds Italia Type D finds Deutschland Type A finds Alemania Type L finds Liechtenstein O: Österreich Some other countries that are in the map can't be found as Portugal, Spain-España. I'm now out of home for some holidays and can't put the map available to download till next week, in case some of mkgmap gurus want to dig into it to look for what does this map work.

mkgmap.jar download possibility / license compatitibility

I would like to have an easy possibility to download mkgmap.jar standalone (from commandline). As far as I understand, as soon as I offer mkgmap.jar to download somewhere, or include it somewhere, I have to host/supply the sourcecode too (forever - or whatever forever means), or am I wrong? What is the easiest way to simply distribute (the newest) unchanged from main trunk mkgmap.jar - for users to download via commandline (inside buildfile/batchfile)? I have no problems putting a mkgmap.jar standalone file for the intended use (recreating address index / overview map for existing .img maps) on my own (sponsored) server - but cannot fully grasp what I have to do to achieve this. The mkgmap-latest download is not really nice, because it includes a lot of bloat for the intended purpose of simply regenerating an address index and overview map for a compilation of .img files (or possibly also create a gmapsupp). Currently I don't intend to change the sourcecode (maybe oneday integrate patches for the overviewmap branch once it has advanced but not been taken into trunk.. but I assume this would only be for short time) Thanks for help, from someone who has profound understanding of the GPL...

Display motorway exits name correctly

Motorway exits tagged as the example below are rendered by mapnik [1] with a line break instead of ";" as they appear in the traffic signals [2]. Is there a way to get the same with the mkgmap styles? Adaptable paths for input and output files

Hi there, if I don't err there has been a patch for the splitter first, to add an --output-dir option. Next was a patch for mkgmap to search for osm.gz files local to the directory of where template.args resides, instead of the applications CWD. I remember you changed it slightly. There was a small one replacing .indexOf() with .lastIndexOf() somewhere. Now the --output-dir for mkgmap would be the last one. This is the only on that hasn't been integrated by now (to my knowledge). All the best, /Markus
