Codepage for Greece?

Latin1 is only producing Questionmarks instead of greek symbols. Which Codepage does one have to use for Greece? Anyone got a clue?

Unable to compile maps

I had always used default max-nodes till now. I also tried with mkgmap downloaded from the web instead of my compiled one, thinking it could be a problem of my build, but didn't help. I have not changed any parameter in my script. As you can imagine, I have no java skills, so any hint is welcome. Regards Carlos

[PATCH v4] - drive on left + roundabout direction checking

v4 - improved quality of direction detection ------------ v3 - now reverses the order of the points in roundabouts that have the wrong direction so that routing is more likely to succeed. ------------ v2 - now prints OSM URL of first point in dodgy roundabout. ------------ As suggested, moved from rhd to dol. Two options are now available --drive-on-left and --drive-on-right. By default, you should not have to specify either because mkgmap now determines the side of the road to drive on from the direction of the first roundabout it processes. But if you don't like its choice, you can specify one of these options to override it. Also, it now issues a warning for each roundabout it finds that appears to go in the wrong direction. I just got 720 warnings when I processed the GB map so either there is a problem with the code or there is a lot of duff roundabouts. I checked a handful of them and they were all wrong. Please give it a go and if you find any of the warnings to be wrong, please post the OSM URL of the roundabout in question. Mark

Splitter: tiles names from geonames

I'm giving --geonames-file to splitter and during split process I can see tiles are named as supposed, but after compiling the map with mkgmap I can't see the names in MapSource, so I must be doing something wrong. Which are the correct steps to get the names in the img? I've seen tiles are named using all the geographic area covered by the bounding box of the osm file, not only the data contained in the osm, so when I use Geofabrik country excerpts some tiles get the name of cities not in the map. For example, splitting France I get 16 tiles, 6 of which are named with non French cities. Could this be improved some way? Regards Carlos

I say 'needs to be' but of course I have no idea at all if that is true. Also restrict to points of type 0xb.
