It shows the following image. http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/hosting/viewer.php?image=334 Show the contours rendered correctly. R1187 (next build I have) through 1311 render as follows: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/hosting/viewer.php?image=336 Shows the error at normal zoom. http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/hosting/viewer.php?image=337 Shows the last zoom level where the error is visible. The contours show up correctly in the IMG file viewed in GPSmapedit, but they don't show in MapSource or on my GPSmap60CSX. Regards, Hilton

R1228 thru R1311 don't compile MP contours correctly

This problem exists in R1228 thru R 1311. I have a routable trail map generated from GPSMapedit with contours going from about 6000 ft. to 9000 ft. in 40 foot intervals. Contours from 7760 ft to 7440 ft, Intermediate (0x21), and Minor (0x20) contour lines set to Endlevel 1, disappear in Mapsource and on my GPSmap60CSX at zooms below .5 miles. I think this is at zoom levels 0 and 1? Contours outside of the 7760 to 7440 range display correctly at all zoom ranges. The problem DOESN'T EXIST and all contours display correctly if the map is compiled with R1127. Don't know if this is an issue for mkgmap, since Polish files are not the primary supported source material, but thought you might be interested. Thanks, Hilton Long

Routing issue with mkgmap appeared since 1188

Hello, I have an issue when I try to go in my Garmin nüvi 755 to the node http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/493911864 (name=Sogesco Ducos). The nüvi is showing a route to somewhere else approximately to node http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/481738937 (name=Almameto). This occurs if I use an mkgmap version greater than 1067. I tested mkgmap-r1188.zip mkgmap-r1331.zip mkgmap-r1334.zip I put the osm file, the stiles folder (only customisation at the beginning of "points" file) and the two img files in an ZIP-archive to illustrate the error: www.oesterlin.ile.nc/gps/map.zip Has someone an idea where the error is located? access=no on a cycleway doesn't work?

Hi, In my neighbourhood there's a highway=cycleway that is currently blocked due to construction works. As the cycleway is still there (the cycleway itself is not under construction), I tagged it access=no. However, mkgmap still tries to route me over it. Is that because styles file saying: "highway=cycleway {add access = no; add bicycle = yes;" ? If so, can I do anything about it? I can't figure out a way to handle this, but maybe I'm missing something. If the style file is the problem, I could imagine the following tags to be overwritten: access=no all by itself (would become access=no, bicycle=yes) access=no; bicycle=no (silly?) (becomes bicycle=yes) bicycle=no; (a bit odd, for a cycleway) (becomes bicycle=yes) (BTW, if the styles are the problem here, I think that more road types show this behaviour, there are lots of places where an existing "access=no" gets extended by "something=yes"). Exception in mkgmap r1328

Hi! While trying to build a routable map from the planetfile for Germany with a slightly modified default style, I receive the following exception: Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NullPointerException at uk.me.parabola.tdbfmt.OverviewMapBlock.setArea(OverviewMapBlock.java:100) at uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.combiners.TdbBuilder.addToTdb(TdbBuilder.java:114) at uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.combiners.TdbBuilder.onMapEnd(TdbBuilder.java:103) at uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.main.Main.endOptions(Main.java:358) at uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.CommandArgsReader.readArgs(CommandArgsReader.java:124) at uk.me.parabola.mkgmap.main.Main.main(Main.java:121) What does this mean? Commit: r1334: Treat MDR .img files separately from regular .img files.

Version 1334 was commited by steve on 2009-10-29 14:22:21 +0000 (Thu, 29 Oct 2009) Treat MDR .img files separately from regular .img files. Fixes a null pointer when creating the tdb file. No other file has been changed to use the the new kind. The gmapsupp does not yet support mdr files, and the new nsis module will use it but currently assumes it is there anyway.
