Problem with address search

Hello, not all buildings are found during the search. I used the address Gräfinghausen 10 as an example. You cannot find this address in the list on the right side. It could be that my style files have a problem. Maybe someone could try to see if the same error occurs with their style. Thank you! Best regards, Michael

Gaps in surfaces

Hello, in some areas, gaps may appear (see attachment). In OSM, however, the surfaces are connected and the nodes have the same coordinates. There should be no rounding errors. It will therefore be a bug in mkgmap. I ask for correction. Thank you! Best regards, Michael

Hello Gerd, I am not sure what to do with the hack from the attachment. Can you help me here.  I would like to make the problem even clearer. I hope you can see the pictures. In the first picture you can see the address with addr:street. Everything is displayed correctly here. The second picture shows addr:place. The window here is weird. The name of the village is missing here. It is unusual that only the house number is displayed. I have tried the following settings with no success: mkgmap:street!=* & addr:place=* { set mkgmap:street='${addr:place}' }  -> With this the search function will be destroyed. This seems to confuse the software. mkgmap:place!=* & addr:place=* { set mkgmap:place='${addr:place}' } -> This also has no function because mkgmap:place does not seem to be used. # mkgmap:street!=* & addr:street=* { set mkgmap:street='${addr:street}' } # mkgmap:street!=* & addr:housename=* { set mkgmap:street='${addr:housename}' } # mkgmap:housenumber!=* & addr:housenumber=* { set mkgmap:housenumber='${addr:housenumber}' } -> Everything is commented out here. But I get the same results as shown in the pictures. It seems as if the evaluation for addr:street and addr:place are hardcoded. Do you maybe have a solution for this? Thank you! This happened quite often where unnamed e.g. a highway=unclassifed is connected to a named road and mkgmap identified the unnamed road as a possible service road (method identifyServiceRoads()) (reduces IMG size and prevents false matches where the same address is found searching for place ABC or road XYZ) http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/websvn/revision.php?repname=mkgmap&rev=4911

House numbers

Hello, basically, the address search in BaseCamp works. But there is only a problem with street names if I click on a street. Often only the house number is displayed here. There are the following cases: 1. addr:street is defined for a building. When using this parameter, the highway in the near must have the same name as addr:street. If I click on a highway in BaseCamp this will be shown: addr:street addr:housenumber. This works beautifully. 2. However, when using addr:place on a building, there is usually no nearby highway with the same name. Then only addr:housenumber is displayed for the highway. This is not correct. There are the following settings: mkgmap:street!=* & addr:street=* { set mkgmap:street='${addr:street}' } mkgmap:housenumber!=* & addr:housenumber=* { set mkgmap:housenumber='${addr:housenumber}' } Is this a bug or I am doing something wrong? One more issue with the Tread device.

I'm still working on translating my style and typ file to a version that the Garmin Tread is happy with. But I found a new issue, this time with polygons. Normally the (non mapped areas) are drawn by the x4B00 polygon with a draworder of 0. However the Tread does not render the 4B00 polygon, in day mode there is no issue but in night mode those non mapped areas are completely black. ( and there are lots of them ) for example around all the map highways and other areas. It's more of an annoyance than anything else. But is there a way to change the tag that mkgmap gives to non mapped areas? for example the x2700 polygon instead of the x4800? Thanks
