Hi I received this patch from the osm github mirror. suggestion on GmapsuppBuilder.java exception message

mkgmap bounds branch ready for merge

Hi all, during the last days I've tested the branch. See also http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/bounds-branch-tp5813741p5813749.html I found that the changes in the img files are not important, they happen because parts of a multipolygon relation are saved in different orders, so no change should be visible. Reg. the unpredictable(?) differences in run times: I am still able to reproduce this in Eclipse, but I found no explanation. >From time to time CPU intensive routines are executed faster (e.g. ~40 secs instead of ~60) If I hear no complains I'll merge the branch to trunk on sunday. Hello, I’ve recently downloaded the mkgmap source. I had no trouble compiling it with ant, but getting Eclipse to work took some effort. I’ve attached a patch file containing changes for Eclipse. The specific changes are: * update classpath to find current version of jars * add ivyde settings * add Eclipse setting file to specify source=1.7 * add splitter to ivy to compile ‘optional’ bit * update URL of opengeo ivy repository * add bin/tmp to ignore list I see there is a git copy of this project, but it appears all commits are going through svn. I’d prefer to create a pull request on github than to attach a patch file, but am happy to do whatever works. i just re comiled my au map now get a msg that , all data will not fit into 1 map need to cut files smaller again did have setu 50,000 , now trying 40,000 nodes , will advise in due course stephen

Commit: r3338: fix the New York address search. Also included a small change in Canada and the US which removes the 'City of' in front of city names when it's there. Nobody uses the official 'City of' form of city names so it doesn't make sense to have it in the default style.

Problematic routing on road_class=3 ferry routes for hikers

In the Belgium OSM forum someone reported that in the hiking profile ferry connections are avoided. http://forum.openstreetmap.org/viewtopic.php?id=26980 I noticed in Basecamp that the road_class=3 might be the reason for this (=main highways). In the internal routing routines of the Garmin Oregon, these roads are blocked by default for hiking (but not in the pedestrian mode). Solution would be to assign ferries that are blocked for motorcars (tagged on osm with motorcar/motor_vehicle=no) with road_class=0 instead of 3. Can this be done in the default line style? I can't find any route=ferry strings in the lines nor access files anymore. Where does mkgmap set this road_class?
