name include file

Hi all, I think the name include file should be reworked. I often get names like "Shell: Shell (Shell)" for fuel stations. The same happens to restaurants, supermarkets, etc. The tags name, operator and brand are often the same so I think they should not all be used in the POI name. Any suggestions for improvement? WanMil

If mkgmap:set_unconnected_type=none and the road is unconnected then the road was completely removed and was not available for any rule matching after a continue. Now it is not added to the removed list, so that it can still be used as a line.

Hi, the mergeroads branch should be stable now so I invite all to test it. Here are the changes compared to trunk: * Roads now become merged before the routing network is created. This might improve routing on long distances (I have seen some). The number of roads in the routing network is reduced by 10-20% (in germany). * refs are now composed in the style sheet and not in java code. The new tag mkgmap:ref is used for that (see inc/refs in default style). * access restrictions are now also handled in the style sheet and not in java code. There are some new tags for that: mkgmap:access:emergency mkgmap:access:delivery mkgmap:access:car mkgmap:access:bus mkgmap:access:taxi mkgmap:access:foot mkgmap:access:bike mkgmap:access:truck mkgmap:access:carpool If a tag is set to 'no' the given access type is restricted in the map. All other values are mapped to 'yes'. I have tried to convert the java code to the style sheet. This was quite complicated but I hope it's rather correct. See new include file inc/access. * Instead of using hardcoded rules for maxspeed it is now possible to control that via style file. Set the mkgmap:road-speed-class tag to the desired class value (0 to 7) and use the new functions maxspeedkmh() and maxspeedmph() to parse the maxspeed tag. * Two new actions that seems useful to me: echotags 'Hello' prints out the OSM element id plus all tags of the element plus the text. This seems to be useful for style debugging. deletealltags removes all tags from an element and therefore stops its processing. I would be happy to get a lot of feedback! Have fun! WanMil

Rendering roundabouts

Hi I swear blind that my roundabouts were rendered in my img file but can not be sure but when I was trying to get to the bottom of the find feature not working on my Rino but is on my 62S I found that my roundabouts not working. In the lines style this appears # Roundabouts [ BER 27.08.2013 changed line type to match road type]# ------------------------------------------------------------------junction=roundabout & highway=trunk [0x02 road_class=3 road_speed=2 resolution 15-17]junction=roundabout & highway=primary [0x03 road_class=3 road_speed=2 resolution 17-18]junction=roundabout & highway=secondary [0x04 road_class=2 road_speed=2 resolution 17-19]junction=roundabout & highway=tertiary [0x05 road_class=1 road_speed=1 resolution 20]junction=roundabout & highway=minor [0x06 road_class=1 road_speed=1 resolution 20]junction=roundabout & highway=unclassified [0x06 road_class=1 road_speed=1 resolution 20]junction=roundabout & highway=residential [0x06 road_class=1 road_speed=1 resolution 20]junction=roundabout [0x0c road_class=0 road_speed=1 resolution 22] But in the img file the roundabout is not rendered. I am using mkgmap version r2178. I am using a type file. Any pointers would be appreciated. Cheers Brett

The check was wrong because it only checked if the ways were connected. Instead it must check if their start/end points are the same.
