routing problem (car on footway)

Hello, I don't find out why my map is car-routing over a footway: <http://img188.imageshack.us/img188/881/route1j.png> top: my map bottom: lambertus routable start: N51.44923 E7.25915 end: N51.44972 E7.29225 In my style I have following rules for foot- and cycleways: highway=path & (bicycle=designated | bicycle=official | bicycle=yes) {set highway = cycleway} highway=pedestrian & area!=yes & area!=true & area!=1 {add motorcar=no; add bicycle=no; add taxi=no; add emergency=no} [0x0a road_class=0 road_speed=0 resolution 22] highway=cycleway {add motorcar = no} [0x16 road_class=0 road_speed=1 resolution 22] highway=footway {add bicycle=no; add taxi=no; add emergency=no; add motorcar=no} highway=footway | highway=path {add motorcar=no} [0x0d road_class=0 road_speed=0 resolution 22] Any error in here? It was opening the files using read-write mode but that fails if any files are not capable of being written. As the files are not going to be written while producing gmapsupp.img, just open them read only.

mkgmap minor bug: TYP file is opened in readwrite mode

Hi List! I just accidentally found an issue in mkgmap. When creating a gmapsupp.img with a TYP file, mkgmap throws an exception if this file is readonly. When the TYP file is writable, this exception is not thrown. But I think, that mkgmap should never write to a TYP file, should it? Index on small maps

Hi I've found that if I change the integer value after the section 5 pointers in the main mdr header from 0x1d to 0x1c then small maps appear to work fine. Unfortunately large maps crash on startup with that value. Of course I don't know how to select between the two values yet, so I can't check anything in. I will experiment to see if I can tell what the difference is, but if anyone has any ideas please let us know. It is also true that all of the values after the section pointers apart from section 15 are unknown, so they are all worth investigating. ..Steve

Given that the roundabout's direction is determined by the order of its points, the oneway tag should be considered superfluous. However, if it has been tagged as reverse oneway, it probably means that the roundabout has been drawn backwards. To help identify those backward roundabouts, we now issue a warning if a roundabout has been tagged reverse oneway.

Record size fields are now set correctly taking into account the number of maps and everything else we know about. There is still a lot unknown in this area and very small maps just do not work.
