Hi Nelson, the best way to get a good index is to use the bounds parameter. The input file can be found here: http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/download/mkgmap.html and here: http://osm.thkukuk.de/data/ example usage: --bounds=bounds-latest.zip See also the --location-autofill option. To verify the result you can use echotags in the style, e.g. highway=living_street { echotags "This is a living_street" } Gerd

Is it possible to see how mkgmap is indexing some objects? (for example, how it's assigning a street to a city and state). Does it use the is_in tag or it's able to use relations? (and if yes, how do we specify what is an state relation, a city, etc) _______________________________________________ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev
