Complex ocean polygon hiding the islands

Hi guys, Please see if any of you can help me ... I have an ocean polygon with multiple edges and in the middle of these there are several islands that are in fact holes in the polygon. Here's an example: [image: Imagem inline 1] Showing only the contour lines, the polygon is drawn as follows: [image: Imagem inline 2] Zooming... [image: Imagem inline 3] When I compile the map, the islands/holes are overlapped by the sea. I noticed that when the polygon is less complex, this overlapping phenomena doesn't happens. Its looks like mkgmap simplifies complex polygons. Is there any option that I can use in mkgmap to respect the layout of complex ocean polygons? By the way, if this isn't the right list to ask this kind of question, please let me know cause I'm new here. Thanks. Alexandre

Hi all, Arndt confirmed that his memory problem is solved with the Mdr7.patch . If I hear no complains I'll commit it to trunk tomorrow. Hi, I made a new map for France (including addresses from french BANO) with r3477 and I got this message : "HOUSE NUMBER RANGE: Initial value too large: 561709099" Anyway, the map seems OK. Regards. Steph

Hi all, I think we should add this line add the beginning of points and lines to improve address search in the Czech Republic: addr:streetnumber=* & addr:housenumber=* & addr:conscriptionnumber=* { set mkgmap:housenumber='${addr:streetnumber}' } See http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:addr:streetnumber and the house numbers near the roads named Armády near: http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/22698984 The addr:streetnumber(s) follow the usual odd/even system while the addr:conscriptionnumber(s) are more or less random. Routing across tiles is not working...

Hi guys, Maybe my question is basic, but I've researched ever manual, websites and blogs searching a solution and have not found. Therefore, you are my last hope. I am partitioning a map with slplitter using the parameter "num-tiles" and then compiling the generated tiles with mkgmap. The problem is that in MapSource I can not route between the tiles. It seems that the majority of ways bordering had their last node (bound) removed in splitter processing. See image below: [image: Imagem inline 1] And in the rare cases where there is continuity at the border, the routing is not working: [image: Imagem inline 2] Please help! What am I doing wrong? computing power mdx/mdr

Hello @all my PC is not he best machine. 4GB RAM & Intel CoreDuo 3GHz 64bit Win7. Making maps from Europa is no problem, but at the end of the process, mkgmap failed to build mdx/mdr. For the website www.speichenkarte.de i need germany and a few kilometers more. Size of the files after "splitter" is 2,8 Gb and 213 img-files. mkgmap 3426 is to be able to build this. mkgmap 3472 failed to build mdx/mdr. Also the gmapsupp dosn´t work/no shown. Need 3472 needs more computing power than 3426? Is it possible change mkgmap, to create mdr/mdx and gmapsupp wiss less cumputer power? Best regards Arndt P.S. Overview map in gmapsupp.img?

Hi, is there a way to include the overview map in the gmapsupp.img without having to run mkgmap another time?
