Hi Gerd Patch attached that fixes isSpecialRoutableLineType to values that definitely make BaseCamp routeing to fail when they are used for a non -routeable line and a change to allow mkgmap:set-[un,semi-]connected -type to be a non-routeable type lower than 0x30 Ticker

Unable to search for Address - GPSMAP64s

I finally got my map conversion working and the maps load fine. I can pick a location on the map and routing works as well as ever (there were always issues over the shortest distance/fastest route). The problem is I can't search by address, which is kind of important. Only cities on the Basemap are being found, and only a few addresses. If I zoom in on a point on the map the street being searched for is shown on the map and in fact I can pick an address by that method. If there's some sort of check I can do on the resulting gmapsup.img file, let me know and I'll get the results. Thanks for any help you can provide!

Bad routing on eTrex and MapSource

Hi Gerd I've assembled the data to demonstrate a major routing failure. It might be relate to the problems you are investigating but might not. I noticed this problem a while ago and it fails on r4295. eTrex/MapSource: fastest time - it takes a long detour shortest distance - it goes the wrong way and makes a u-turn BaseCamp (r4561): either mode - it goes the wrong way and makes a u-turn BaseCamp behaviour has changed over the last few svn changes. Some versions have worked correctly. In the route details, some of the leg bearings look suspect. Inverting the route gives correct results. Here is a minimal map: http://files.mkgmap.org.uk/download/487/74200072.osm.pbf and the resultant .img I generate: http://files.mkgmap.org.uk/download/486/74200072.img .gpx file with start/end points and MapSource fastest route are attached, also .sh script. I've been testing it with an old default style (from r4295) but it fails in the same way with the current default style Ticker

Poiisble bug with ~ and numbers

Hi All I'm trying to assign an icon to platform numbers in my TYP file - my Fenix doesn't show highway:symbols This works fine if platforms are labelled 1,2,3 etc To avoid too many icons I want to reduce 1a,1b to 1 and 2a,2b to 2 etc using ref ~'1*.' [0x etc] ref ~'2*.' [0x etc] This works for stations with number+letter platforms (ie Norwich) However, where stations are just numbers without letters, all platforms(ie 1,2,3,4) are labelled 1 depending on the order of my ref ~ ie if ref ~'1*.' is the first line in my code all platforms are labbelled 1 if ref ~'2*.' is the first line in my code a;; of them are labelled 2 It seems ~ may not work as expected with numbers , or my code is wrong. Any ideas? Nick
