Version 1940 was commited by steve on 2011-05-10 10:18:44 +0100 (Tue, 10 May 2011) Set the partition size based on the actual size of the file. However it appears that arbitary sizes are not accepted, so we step through a list of sizes and take the first one that is large enough. The real restrictions are not known, so if anyone wants to experiment, please do.

That error seems to suggest it is trying to interpret the input as XML instead of PBF. I've made my tests with version r1867.

[locator] bug, if streets were split

Hi, all streets, which were split in OSM-data get shown in search as often as parts exist in data. It would be great, if these separated streets would be shown only once, if parts have at least one common node. Henning

LocatorConfig.xml and Spain

Hi list I just made a map of Spain using the newest Geofabrik spain.osm.pbf and mkgmap trunk. I set the default country to "España". After loading the map onto my Vista via MapSource, the following countries show up in address search: Es España France Spain The two in the middle are correct. But "Es" and "Spain" should have been aliased to "España" automatically. There are corresponding entries in the LocatorConfig.xml file. Does anyone have an idea why this is not working? For reference, here is the revelant snippet from LocatorConfig.xml: <country name="España" abr="ESP" poiDispFlag="0xc"> <variant>Spain</variant> <variant>ES</variant> <variant>ESP</variant> </country> - Bartosz

Strange behaviour with a certain way type

Hi, I use 'continue' to show oneways and cycleways tagged on the road: highway=primary [0x02 level 5 continue] highway=primary & oneway=yes [0x18 level 5 continue] highway=primary & (cycleway=track | cycleway=lane | cycleway:left=* | cycleway:right=*) [0x2e level 5] Ways which meet the first and the first+second argument are not colored. Ways which meet the first and third argument are colored. Normally all ways should be colored. If I change the arguments vice versa all ways are colored, but if I point on the ways they were shown as cyleway or oneway and not as primary. This strange behavior concerns only this type of way (0x02). All the other ways (have the same arguments) are colored as specified in the type. Bug or not? splitter PBF output support

I've decided to experiment with PBF support output in the splitter. I got something working and I am testing it for the next week. Let me know if someone else wants to give it a test. I don't have a place to put the JAR but that can be fixed easily. Francisco

I found the upload interface and placed the JAR here: http://files.mkgmap.org.uk/download/15/splitter.jar I've tested the NC maps today on a way to geocache and it worked ok so far.

Osmosis --wb option

Hi, I have tried to use the --wb option with Osmosis but it always fails for me. It seems to treat the file as input instead of output. The only way I can make it work is to use --write-pbf instead. Here's the command line I tried: %OSMOSIS%\bin\osmosis --rb us-south.osm.pbf --bb left=-84.3666 top=36.58333333 right=-75.36666666 bottom=33.833333 --tf reject-ways building=* --tf reject-ways boundary=administrative --tf reject-nodes type=communication --wb north_carolina.osm.pbf

I need to clean up the code as it is currently hard coded to only output PBF and fix a few things that I changed to make it work. If there is a way to upload an experimental JAR file, I will be glad to share what I have, I just need the information on how to do it. Francisco
