Perhaps this is normal but it seems that the address search only works as long as I have an 'indexed' gmapsupp of my local area on my oregon. Then ,I other countries appear when clicking Spell Country in the address search. As soon as I remove my local area, the address search can't find the other countries. Is this quite common? If so,it can be very frustrating to anyone trying to make the address search work. -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/address-search-on-oregon-tp5727571.html Sent from the Mkgmap Development mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

I think I've discovered the reason: It seems --index has to be placed straight after --gmapsupp. I had --index placed further up the line ; strange how this should affect it. -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/address-search-on-oregon-tp5727571p5727700.ht... Just put on my first openfire after they came to clean the chimney on Monday, and yes with smoke pooring into the livingroom autumn has arrived. Great fun!

That is not true in general. There is perhaps a bug where the --index option is swallowed if it occurs in a particular place, or a typo has caused the index option to be hidden. ..Steve

Steve, I agree with you , as I'm still getting the same effect with --index placed after --gmapsupp, ie no 'country' is recognized by the oregon unless a local one is present - I'm using the default style. -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/address-search-on-oregon-tp5727571p5727825.ht...
