Hello list, I have taken the liberty of updating the known issues section of mkgmap's wiki page (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mkgmap#Known_issues) I make no claim to authority here, so if I've made a mistake or mis-stated something please shout (or better, edit!). Whilst I would love to be able to contribute code to fix these problems, I'm not a java programmer (barely a programmer at all, to be honest). So at best, I can help by outlining the problems as clearly as I can. -- Charlie
Hi Charlie! One remark to the address search: Is there are a possibility to distinguish between problems caused by mkgmap and problems caused by Garmin? In many Garmin-Forums I find e.g. messages, that address search does not even work with maps that come from Garmin, especially on Oregon devices. So how should a mkgmap developer solve such a problem if Garmin itself is not capable of doing it? So the POI search is a wonderful workaround. Perhaps we could improve this workaround, but I have no idea, how. Dani
