I put them now into the extended range (0x11500 ..) to exclude these POIs from the search index. Chris

Can you give the exact lines you use ? 2012/3/18 Chris66 <chris66nrw@gmx.de>:

barrier=gate | barrier=lift_gate [0x11502 resolution 24] barrier=bollard | barrier=bus_trap {add access=no; add bicycle=yes; add foot=yes} [0x11501 resolution 24] barrier=block | barrier=cycle_barrier | barrier=stile | barrier=kissing_gate {add access=no; add foot=yes; add bicycle=yes} [0x11501 resolution 24] And of course I have some icons for theses types in my TYP file. Does not work for me: the POIs are still showing up in the search index and, even worse, they are now drawn two zoom levels earlier. Yes, you are right. If I set a max zoom level for POIs of lets say 50m in the device settings, this is not respected for the extended-range POIs. Chris

There seems to be a problem with generating TYP-File with mkgmap with these ids. Has anyone else such a problem? mkgmap transforms 0x115** to 0x001**. Henning

There used to be several problems with extended types, but I don't think that any remain. I just tried with Type=0x11512 and the result looks correct to me. Could you provide more details of an example that doesn't work. ..Steve
