Hi, Could you please tell me the maximum map size. I know it is around the 4GB mark, but no idea what the exact size limit is. Currently the gmapsupp file is 3951493120Bytes, how much larger can it get before it is broken? Thanks Jakob

You can build a gmapsupp.img file larger than 4 GB, but you won't be able to copy it to an SD card or device. The limit is imposed by FAT-32 file system.

Understood, thanks! Am 06.01.2017 um 15:06 schrieb Carlos Dávila:

Hi Jakob, Garmin img format internally uses sectors, which gives max size for 64kiB sector (64kiB-1)*64kiB = 4294901760. -- Best regards, Andrzej
