disabling / removing the basemap on Garmin Etrex Vista
Hi, I'm just wondering if it's possible to disable or remove the basemap on the Garmin Etrex Vista? I'm seeing Exits from the US while I'm in Costa Rica. I guess this is the same problem that Mark is having. Thanks, Ben

I have that gps too and you can tell it to not display the basemap but that doesn't stop it using the exits from the basemap. Grrr! No known solution at this time. Cheers, Mark

How do you tell it to stop using the basemap?
From memory: go to the map setup page and on the tab that allows you to switch maps on/off pop up the menu, there should be an option to not show the basemap. Cheers, Mark
