Commit: r2045: Merge the index-memory branch.

Version 2045 was commited by steve on 2011-10-03 16:03:57 +0100 (Mon, 03 Oct 2011) Merge the index-memory branch. -Vastly improves the memory usage when creating and index. -If the index creation fails then the index output file is not written. Requires less than half the amount of memory than the old code, and it is quicker too as a nice side effect.

Great work, however If found one little annoyance (not really a bug though). If memory limit is set borderline low, then the mdr gets created, but the strings*.tmp file is not deleted.... Actually also if failing completly, the strings*.tmp is not deleted... If I attribute enough memory, then it is actually deleted. On 03.10.2011 17:03, svn commit wrote:

Hi
Great work, however If found one little annoyance (not really a bug though). If memory limit is set borderline low, then the mdr gets created, but the strings*.tmp file is not deleted....
I've found the problem, it was another Windows only problem, similar to one of the previous ones. In fact with small files, it was never deleted even when it all worked for me. Should be fixed now. ..Steve
