Blue background with Oregons, what whas the solution?

Hi, I'm pretty sure that I did read the discussion here, but cannot find it anywhere again. On some Garmin devices (newer Oregons, e.g.) parts of the background of the map is shown as blue "sea", not with the normal background. Does anybody remember what the problem was and how to fix that? Since I don't own any of this devices who show it "wrong", I cannot test it myself. Hi Thorsten, I own a pretty new Oregon 700 and a Montana 680. If you have an idea where (geographically) the blue area is, I can take over the testing. Hi The most significant information you need is which of the options: --precomp-sea=... --coastlinefile=... --generate-sea=... are being used and their values. Also what version of mkgmap; there have been a few changes in this area of the code in the last 4 months Ticker On Thu, 2020-04-02 at 13:31 +0200, Hans wrote:

Hi all, I think the problems with flodded areas where introduced with r4382 and fixed with r4470. Those errors should be visible in all Garmin devices and also on PC software, so Thorsten probably has a different issue. Maybe it is a combination of two maps, one transparent and the other showing the flodded area bug? Sorry for the later response, but it took some time until I got feedback from the reporters of the problem about my changes to fix it. The reason is: with very old Garmin devices, you should not modify the background as this could have lead to problems. With some new devices, you have to modify the background, means you need a polygone 0x04b with draworder 1, and only this polygone with this draw order.
