"ghost" map entries with Oregons?

Hi, from time to time I get the report that on Oregons, my basemaps are shown twice in the map list. One entry contains an empty map, one the normal expected one. It looks like this happens only with "older" Oregons, all reports I have where I'm sure it's the Oregon 300 modell. Does anybody know this effect and why it happens or even better has a solution for it? Hi Thorsten, I didn't heard about such problems with my map and also I hadn't such problems with my Oregon 300. Could the fault be reproduced or are there users, who have this effect only sometimes? Do you have several layers in your gmapsupp? Does it also happen, if there is only one layer in gmapsupp? Henning Am 15.08.2012 10:23, schrieb Thorsten Kukuk:

The people who I know have an Oregon cannot reproduce it, too.

At least one was able to reproduce it, all others haven't answered anymore after the first mail.

I have only one layer, and it looks like it happens with all maps from me which have no transparent background. Thorsten

Hi Thorsten, I can confirm that. I have an Oregon 400t and the TK-DACH-Basemap from July 11th (it's the file timestamp so I don't know for sure if the map is exact compiled at July 11th). There is only the one TK-DACH-basemap img on my external sd card and the map appears twice in the selection dialog. It seems that both maps contain some tiles (e.g. the first map contains the tile south of Xanten and the second map contains the tile north of Xanten). I have no clue why it happens. WanMil

One more interesting detail: Routing works over both maps, so having a start point located in the first map and an target point in the second map the Oregon is able to calculate a valid route. WanMil
