This can only be fixed by fixing the OSM data: Either connect all routeable ways or mark this special bridge as not routeable. Is there a recommended tag for this? Should I just add motorcar=no or something else to that bridge between buildings? I can't just connect it as it is an internal building to building connector.

One possible solution (which would not break routing) would be to map the major hallways or corridors in the buildings as highway=footway, and to tag them access=permissive or access=private, whatever suits best. In my opinion, mapping the corridors is the right thing to do in shopping malls and other public spaces. Only in that way you can get good pedestrian routing to the target you are looking for, when there are multiple entrances to a huge building complex. Best regards, Marko
