In the situation a motorway splits in two motorways (a socalled Y-branch) I used the following line in my style to make sure the destination:ref and the destination were displayed in my Garmin: highway=motorway & destination:ref=* {name '${destination:ref|highway-symbol:hbox} ${name}' | '${destination:ref|highway-symbol:hbox}' | '${name}' ; add mkgmap:display_name = '${destination:ref} (${destination})' } Yesterday I used a new mkgmap version with the new standard styles mixed with lines as the one above. I noticed that in Y-branches the destination was not displayed anymore. What am I doing wrong here? Hi Johan, I don't understand. The default style contains e.g. in file \default\inc\address : # Netherlands = NLD mkgmap:country=NLD & mkgmap:region!=* & mkgmap:admin_level4=* { set mkgmap:region='${mkgmap:admin_level4}' } Do you want to say that you see no matches for this rule? A possible reason is that the preprocessed boundary file doesn't contain the boundary. See http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/boundary-France-broken-tp5794112.html Gerd Date: Mon, 10 Feb 2014 23:48:24 +0100 From: osmned@gmail.com To: mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk Subject: Re: [mkgmap-dev] Y-branches on motorways Thanks Gerd, that link and the conversion style manual (compliments for the authors!) do help. Hi, now includes are moved to finalize section at the end of the file. To search for country code you have to include "address" file before your search. -- Best regards, Andrzej

Thanks Gerd and Andrzej for your responses. But after doing several tests I still can't get mkgmap:country=NLD working in my lines file. I've attached both my lines file and my address file. I use inc/address is in the finalize section. The boundaries are correct (in fact, these are actually the same as I've been using the past two years), since I can select addresses in my Garmin. Addresses also pop-up when I select a POI. Regards, Johan 2014-02-11 12:56 GMT+01:00 Andrzej Popowski <popej@poczta.onet.pl>:

Hi Johan, including it at the top of your lines file is enough. This saves some CPU because including it twice does not change anything. In the default style the address file is included in the finalize section because none of the rules before the finalize section use the address fields. In this case the address rules need to be checked and executed only if an element matches an element type definition and not for all elements. WanMil

Hey WanMil, thanks for the tip. And the work by you and the other developers on improving mkgmap. Just two wishes left for mkgmap (hopefully somebody @ Garmin reads this and helps out :-) ): maxspeed display and lane-assist. Cheers, Johan 2014-02-12 21:15 GMT+01:00 WanMil <wmgcnfg@web.de>:
