Hello On Windows 7, I try to generate a map with a "address search index" using the following command (mkgmap 2513): java -Xmx2G -jar W:\save-w\softs\OSM_mkgmap\mkgmap.jar --route --net --index --location-autofill=is_in,nearest --draw-priority=25 --gmapsupp --bounds=W:\save-0\dustbin\bounds --family-name="OSM - P.Renard" --description="France Nord + Belg + Lux - V20130308" --family-id=8000 --product-id=1 --output-dir=W:\save-w\softs-conf\OSM\my_maps\France-Nord_Belgique_Luxembourg\V20130308\osm\img -c W:\save-w\softs-conf\OSM\my_maps\France-Nord_Belgique_Luxembourg\V20130308\osm\pbf\template.args W:\save-w\softs-conf\OSM\my_maps\France-Nord_Belgique_Luxembourg\V20130308\osm\typ\mapnik.typ There are no error messages... Files osmmap.img + osmmap.tdb + gmapsupp.img are generated... but not osmmap.mdx and osmmap_mdr.img !!! Could you help me ? Hi Patrick, according to the wiki you need the --tdbfile option for that. Gerd prenard wrote

I think you forgot --tdbfile? If instead the --tdbfile option is given then the index consists of two files named osmmap.mdx and osmmap_mdr.img which can be used with mapsource. (For compatibility, you do not need the tdbfile option if gmapsupp is not given). If both the --gmapsupp and --tdbfile options are given alongside the --index option, then both indexes will be created. Note that this will require roughly twice as much memory.

Thanks ! It is true that it is a lot better with the right option... I am confused ! Patrick -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/mkgmap-index-not-working-tp5752797p5752948.ht... Sent from the Mkgmap Development mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
