Is anyone creating a Database of Linetypes and Points that will not show up on specific Garmin GPS's?
My GPSMAP 276c will not display LINETYPE: 0x20 My Montana 600 will not show display the following POINTS: 0x3001,0x3002,0x3008,0x5904 POINTS This info can be helpful if you cannot see data on your GPS and your CODE is correct. Greg
Are you looking at the highest (24) resolution? My device (Etrex legend) has its own ideas of when to start showing elements as you zoom in, regardless of the map definition. and the default _drawOrder for most shapes appears to be 2 but some are 1 and 0. No, I would zoom all the way in (24) and still no POINT or Linetype. Regarding DRAW ORDER. I only know this term with reference to POLYGONS and which ones draw on top of the other. I use TypWiz5. I know what you mean about your GPS showing you items when IT WANTS TO. I like to see RAILROADS (0x14) at higher zooms, but my Montana 600 whould turn them off above 0.5mi zoom. I eventually created my own RAILROAD on 0x1000a and now I can use mkmap to determine at what zoom these items disappear. What is "default_drawOrder" and where is it used?
