Hi *, is there a way to influence / improve / change the way tags that contain non-latin script are transliterated by mkgmap? Right now I am trying to make a map of Iran. OSM entities with a "name:en" tag are not a problem, I can use that. But many places contain name tags in farsi only. When I compare the result of mkgmap with other online transliteration tools I find a lot of problems. E.g. way id 374182315: <tag k="name" v="خرداد"/> In my mkgmap garmin map it shows as "KHRD?D". According to http://mylanguages.org/farsi_romanization.php it should be "khrdad". Any ideas on how to improve this?
