hello, is there a way how can i say which features are taking up the most space in resulting map? there may be some space for optimizations but i don't really know where to start. thanks! jose

Hi Jose, I don't think that there is anything implemented. I assume you would need something that reports the number of KB produced by a each rule in your style file. I think this is not possible. It is possible to produce this list for each garmin type, devided into points, lines, and polygons, at least if we just include the RGN file size. It could also be separated further by the different resolutions. Would that help? Gerd jose1711 wrote

hi gerd, yes, i think having some numbers per element-types & resolutions would be helpful. cheers, jose On Fri, May 3, 2013 at 9:04 AM, GerdP <gpetermann_muenchen@hotmail.com>wrote:

If you download gpsmapedit from www.geopainting.com, you can analyse all those statistics in each img tile. See http://magellan.ucoz.ru/image/article/27082010/image015.jpg

Hi Minko, thanks for that hint. I think this is much better than a simple list. Gerd Minko-2 wrote

thank you also. the stats tab is really useful. shame it does not work properly (no memory/size column) in wine. jose On Fri, May 3, 2013 at 9:58 AM, GerdP <gpetermann_muenchen@hotmail.com>wrote:

First think you should delete are buildings. They are also slowing the map on older devices. Chris
