Hi to all, is there a option in the style-file or in the mkgmap-options, that i can use to generate a tile (12345678.img ), which show me the speedlimit for any road on Nüvi ? If i drive faster then allowed it gets 'red' ? my current version mkgmap is 3622. thomas

I have this already on my nuvi 1450 lmt have you updated your firmware in the unit Stephen On Wed, Sep 16, 2015 at 7:52 PM, Thomas Morgenstern <webmaster@img2ms.de> wrote:

Nope - only with NT maps. On 17 September 2015 at 10:02, Steve Sgalowski <steve.sgalowski@gmail.com> wrote:

The speedlimit is shown on my Nüvi only bei garmin-maps like CityNavigator. But I want this feature with my own OSM-Map , generated by mkgmap. I am looking for any hints. Which option is necessery in the commandline for mkgmap ? thomas Am 17.09.2015 um 10:02 schrieb Steve Sgalowski:

As said only NT maps support this feature. NT maps are not possible with mkgmap. On 17 September 2015 at 10:46, Thomas Morgenstern <webmaster@img2ms.de> wrote:

I have modified the mkgmap lines file to show at least the speed limit, if it is mapped. highway=* & ref=* { addlabel '${ref} (${maxspeed} km/h)' | '${ref}' } With this change, you can see the speed limit in brackets after the street number. But this is plain text only and is not compared to your actual speed. danke für die Antwort, das ist schon mal besser als nichts. Werde es ausprobieren. Die Einblendung im Nüvi scheint ja unmöglich, weil mkgmap eine non -NT erzeugt. thomas Am 17.09.2015 um 18:22 schrieb Walter Schlögl:

It seems as if a line feed is missing at the end of this error message. SCHWERWIEGEND (StyledConverter): <filename>.o5m: Attention: Tile contains both drive-on-left (n) and drive-on-right roads (m) If yes, it might be easy to fix it. Walter

Hi Walter, the message is printer via the logging facility. I assume you see this problem when you start mkgmap in a shell session that has only 80 characters? In Windows, you may try java -jar mkgmap.jar ... > mkgmap.stdout 2> mkgmap.errout to get this message in one line (in file mkgmap.errout) Gerd Walter Schlögl wrote

Hi Gerd, that is exactly how I am writing the logfile with 2>> to an error log, but if you do see a line feed at the end of this error message, it seems to be only a problem with my file. Thanks for the hint anyway.
