housenumber2: distance too large I don't understand

Hi, I'm seeing a log of SEVERE messages from the housenumber2 r3589 branch. Most of them are pretty clear, there where very long cycleways in between the house and the street and all connections where missing. Adding all missing connections fixed that. But there is one left, where I don't understand what the problem is: 2015/05/19 03:30:49 SEVERE (ExtNumbers): 71200089.osm.pbf: distance to road too large, road id=6675816, Geesterseveldweg house 6(1) http://www.openstreetmap.org/node/2917181493 What's the problem with this address? Thanks, Thorsten -- Thorsten Kukuk, Senior Architect SLES & Common Code Base SUSE LINUX GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nuernberg, Germany GF: Felix Imendörffer, Jane Smithard, Dilip Upmanyu, Graham Norton, HRB 21284 (AG Nürnberg)

Hi Thorsten, thanks for reporting, I can reproduce the message and it is an error in mkgmap. I'll see how to fix that. I'll try to make sure that all severe error messages caused by errrors in mkgmap are marked with "internal error". Gerd

There are more similar cases: build/benelux/basemap/mkgmap.gmapsupp.log:2015/05/19 07:15:21 SEVERE (ExtNumbers): 71700034.osm.pbf: distance to road too large, road id=6378568, Wethouder L. Hi Thorsten, I think the problem is related to the bearing of the road segment and its length. Nearly horizontal or vertical lines cause probems. Gerd
