Using the "--remove-short-arcs" option

Hi list, while building my map I am getting a lot of errors like this: SEVERE (RoadNetwork): 63240020.osm.gz: Road (ser, http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/50972288) contains zero length arc at http://www.openstreetmap.org/?mlat=48.72715&mlon=21.24674&zoom=17 Bit of googling showed that "--remove-short-arcs" option exist. Can somebody explain me what impact will using this option on map itself? I mean will be map still route-able in these places? Will some details be lost? Or is it ok just ignore these errors? Thanks for help mira

If you use --remove-short-arcs, the too-close nodes will be merged to each other. Routing will work.
Or is it ok just ignore these errors?
If I remember correctly, routing may be broken in the affected places if you are not using the option. Marko
