[PATCH v1] shorten long segments to avoid bad routing

This little patch shortens segments that are longer than the maximum length we can currently handle by adding a new point so that the segment becomes splittable. It should stop the messages that look like this: Way Foo contains a segment that is longer than ... (routing will fail...). So if you were seeing those, please test this patch and report success/failure/etc. If it's good, I will commit it. Cheers, Mark

Works for me (makes the warning go away, and routing still works, but I didn't try along that particular way). The gmapsupp.img is the same size, though. I guess that the addition of the one point is hidden by some alignment. Marko

Hi Marko, Thanks for the feedback.

Good. I have tried routing (using mapsource) across a way that has had point(s) added and it worked OK.

Sounds plausible. Cheers, Mark

Worked fine for me against great_britain.osm when previously I had warnings for probably every ferry Cheers Paul
