contour map error

Hi, When processing contour lines from srtm (cut with splitter in an intermediate step) I receive the following error: SEVERE (MapSplitter): 21000001.osm.gz: Area too small to split at http://... (reduce the density of points, length of lines, etc.) The error occours for version r1652 and head from svn. Kind regards, Andreas Philipp

I have the same error with SRTM-data. As far as I remember, you can avoid these messages splitting the offending tile in smaller pieces

What is the URL for the SRTM data and the command lines you're using to process it? Scott

URL http://dds.cr.usgs.gov/srtm attached a perl script and an option file for mkgmap and the rules for shp2osm On 29 Jun 2010, at 18:43 , Scott Crosby wrote:
