small discovery - polyline priority

Hello! Maybe this is obvious for some people, but that was problem I was fighting for a long time. On my maps residential roads had higher rendering priority than tertiary roads - and road junctions looked really ugly. Today i discovered that roads with 'border' option in TYP file have higher rendering priority than roads without border :) before: http://imgur.com/GsKdEp9 after: http://imgur.com/QluXX08 best regards Michal Rogala

An interesting observation ; have done some testing and it does seem at least in Basecamp that lines without bitmaps override those which have bitmaps. Kind of useful when it comes to bridges except that you now need a bridge line for every different highway, ie one for a bike bridge, one for a residential bridge etc. It might not work on all gps devices. The latest NT imgs attach at least 4 additional as yet unknown properties to type numbers, one of which might refer to draworder. -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/small-discovery-polyline-priority-tp5811433p5... I have a hunch that line types > &h1391F are used as masks - this may apply to polygons/pois as well. -- View this message in context: http://gis.19327.n5.nabble.com/small-discovery-polyline-priority-tp5811433p5... Sent from the Mkgmap Development mailing list archive at Nabble.com.
