hi! I enabled logging as you suggested. please note that error messages are typically printed to stderr, not stdout. The option --verbose has not much effect. To enable detailed logging in mkgmap you can use something like this java -Dlog.config=mkgmap_log.props -jar mkgmap.jar ...

I generated my map, merged with SRTM (using splitter) and my complilation has a lot of blank rectangles in contour lines:
Did anyone see something like that? Is it phyghtmap problem or something with mkgmap/splitter?
