No, my trunk roads are routable as many have pavements beside them and make a useful link between footpaths.. It is only motorways and roads with motorway like access restrictions I do not route down. It may well be down to the class 4 change though. Next time I am on the laptop I will check what class my trunk routes are. Geoff Steve Brophy <steve.brophy@gmail.com> wrote:
Geoff,
Regarding your use of non-routable lines for motorways, did you also do this for trunk roads? I found that, by making motorways and trunk roads class 3 (rather than class 4), then routing works across tiles as expected even with the interstates avoidance set.
Of course, this probably defeats the object, since there are now no more interstates to avoid (assuming class 4 is the definition of an interstate)!

This seems to be an old bug ... I'm able to reproduce it with BaseCamp 4.0.2 (Windows) and a map (Freizeitkarte Deutschland) from February 2013. But it seems that I'm not able to reproduce the effect with BaseCamp 4.2.1 (Mac) ... peculiar.
