Thanks. There seems to be no error. So the error I saw before is not I think associated with your problem. The client appears to request a handful of files (in the checkout case) and then just stop.
But I think this is a bug in subversion 1.8.10. On other machines in the same subnet, it works fine. But this machines have all an older subversion version installed. I will speak with our developers tomorrow, if they know something.
OK. Seems to be of no interest to anyone else, but I'd be happy to help out off-list if the developers need to try anything out. Should mention I use 1.8.10 on Fedora which appears not to be affected at least in my environment. ..steve
