HI Gerd,
in Brazil we identified a problem using this new version of the
splitter.
In Mkgmap we employ the --latin1 option because we use non-ascii character
in our language
This city node of São Paulo is admin_center, a member of the relation =
boundary, admin_level = 4 of São Paulo (relation
http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/298204
).
Both
(state and city) has the same name and non-ascii character "~" in the first
word of the name (São).
After numerous tests identified the splitter r423 does not recognize
non-ascii characters when used in the first word of the name of the place. When
used in other word name than the first, he acknowledges.
Any suggestion?
Marcio

Hi all,
please note the new option --wanted-admin-level in r423.
