Hi Arndt,

thanks for reporting this.
This messages with "distance to road too large" were caused
by a special case for the group detection. Today I've committed r3505
to fix this problem as well. The address search in Godekinstraße
http://www.openstreetmap.org/way/41808714#map=18/51.46352/7.49834&layers=N

works now very well, only a few places are worse.
(Not yet tested with many tiles, only with ~ 30 tiles)
