What exactly do you mean? No index at all, or index that doesn't work completely or at all? Its quite possible that there is a problem when the index is not in latin1. Arabic has been tested and works with the separate index but not as far as I know with the gmapsupp index. And a lot has changed since then anyway. ..Steve
