i know the problem from mapsource (see here: www.geocaching-dresden.de/missing_tiles.jpg), and to a lesser extend from an oregon 450 (zooming in and out usally fixes it here). it seems to be a problem connected to a certain range of pois. as soon as i zoom out far enough for pois to vanish, the problem is gone. i suspect about anything between 0x3300 and 0x3f00, but haven't had time to test some more. but: it seems more complex than just leaving out this range of pois - more often than not they are displayed correctly. all in all: it feels like a garmin and not an mkgmap problem. Hard resetting the unit does not seem to help. Those empty tiles are not there when compiling the map with mkgmap r2012 but it is noticed on versions after 2042.
Any ideas? _______________________________________________ mkgmap-dev mailing list mkgmap-dev@lists.mkgmap.org.uk http://www.mkgmap.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/mkgmap-dev
