There was already a mkgmap-latest.tar.gz, and I have now added the -latest.zip (same for splitter).

mkgmap-stable.zip?

I always intend that the latest trunk version is the best version. If you want to consider a particular version to be stable then you can use it. If it is downloaded enough it will not be removed. ..Steve
