Which temporary files do you see? There are ones like "mdr*.tmp" and "strings*.tmp" , do you see both of them?
It might not be that easy to fix.

Yes, both mdr*.tmp and strings*.tmp are there. But they are no real effort to delete, and I have just realised I could delete them anyway (if they are there) at the end of my batch file.
