[mkgmap-dev] relation support in splitter ?

Hi trying to use relations to set the motorway ref from the relation. But tile splitter drops relations which cross too many tiles. Anyone working on it to support unlimited tiles? For a test I have hacked a script to use osmosis for tile splitting based on the areas.list from a previous splitter run. Strange enough the areas.list doesn't have the same coordinates as the bounds definition in the osm file. which one is correct? how much overlap is required for mkgmap to create the nodes for inter tile routing?
