@Steve: Do you have an idea when we should move the build to 1.8 ?
I think we can move now as the public updates to 1.7 stopped about a year ago. In the past we've been slow to update because of the Mac, new versions of java were slow to arrive. There is a 1.8 version on the Oracle download site now.
