nakor wrotes:
If I copy all the generated files to the appropriate directory I set up for MapSource, I can display the map but I have no index. I then tried to rename Detroit_mdr.img to Detroit.img. In this case, MapSource crashes at startup. Thats not an good idea. Leave it like it is created by mkgmap. But you have to make 2 new entrys in the registry. One for MDX file, one for the MDR file. Here an example:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\MapSource\Families\WkR_MKGMAP] "TYP"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap\\WKR9421.TYP" "ID"=hex:cd,24 "IDX"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap\\WKR.mdx" "MDR"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap\\WKR_mdr.img" [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Garmin\MapSource\Families\WkR_MKGMAP\1] "TDB"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap\\WKR.tdb" "LOC"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap" "BMAP"="E:\\Gps_Daten\\Karten\\Fertige_Karten\\Eigene_Karten\\wkr_mkgmap\\WKR.img" cheers Gert
