Really? Ouch... that shouldn't really be the case, Java bytecode is Java
bytecode and should be happy enough running on any VM regardless of where
it was compiled (class version number limitations notwithstanding).

agreed it shouldn't but it is what I see.

software shouldn't have bugs ;-)
