Hi Henning, The elevation plot of your Oregon is not derived from the mkgmap garmin map, but from the world DEM basemap. The altitudes are very rough unless you have bought a Topographic map. As far as I know mkgmap can't make a DEM map yet, which is needed to make such profiles on the gps unit.
