Hi Diego,

Rather than having to edit the registry use the –gmapi option in mkgmap which will create a folder with a .gmap extension. Copy or move this folder to C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Maps and the map will be visible to Basecamp. Note ProgramData is a hidden folder. 

This avoids having to edit the registry or create reg files.

for all registration stuff concerning mapinstallation for mapsource and therefore also for Basecamp i use a programm called MapsetToolkit.

Its working on all Windows Versions 10 and 11 since i use maps created by mkgmap

Is there a way to create the REG file with Mkgmap, or do I have to create it by myself after generating the map ? If so, what is the meaning of the ID value and how do I choose the right one ?
