Hi all, I've committed r301 which implements what Henning suggested. The old structure is used when less than 2GB are configured. On my machine that means something like -Xmx2303M or less. Gerd Henning Scholland wrote

Maybe you can implement a automatic switch between the two possibilities, depending on -Xmx parameter given to splitter. Maybe if the value is smaller then 1.5gb or so. But I don't know, if this is possible and useful.
