well it was not really worse - just the overall distance/time got longer.

The avoided sharp angle is only taken in the pedestrian modes:

And now the worst results - huge detour in ATV/Dirt Biking mode (170 instead of 72m respectively 142m):

Or just a bit to the south - see what happens here:
- all modes except pedestrian ones route  to the end, make a U-Turn - and then enter the way - instead of just doing the sharp angle turn.... (but please don't ask me why Garmin thinks a U turn is faster).
