Hi Gerd,
the problem is caused by the merge-lines routine. You see the problem also in a map created with r2570 if you look at res < 22.
Yes I also notice it in some older maps, but at the lower zoom levels it wasn't so obvious. Your patch seems to solve this, thanks.
